Meet Your Myofascial Therapist

Hello! My name is Lorien Caldwell and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). I was drawn to this profound work many years ago in Shiatsu school, but it wasn't until my massage therapist started using the techniques on me that all the dots started to connect. My body was practically screaming , "this is what we've been waiting for!" I knew instantly that this was to be the path of my practice. I needed to start taking seminars! So off I went, traveling to all the seminars near me in the North East. Eventually coming to Sedona, AZ to study directly with the founder, John F Barnes. The transformations that began to take place in my life professionally and personally were nothing short of miraculous. Allowing MFR into my world was the most paramount step I have ever taken. I am endlessly blessed by my clients and their own experiences of how MFR has changed their lives from the freedom of pain and unwanted symptoms to the greater understanding of their place in this world. Together we dive deep into what it means to heal our whole human being. It is with profound gratitude that I approach each of my clients' unique situations, allowing their bodies to take the lead and show me how they need to heal.

My education details:

2002- Graduated from The Desert Institute of the Healing Arts (DIHA), Tucson, AZ. DIHA was sold to Cortiva Institute when statewide massage licensing began to be issued in Arizona. DIHA was one of the most prestigious Massage Therapy schools in the country with 1000 hours of comprehensive training. More than what is required in any state for licensure today.

2004- Completed 750 hours of Zen Shiatsu from DIHA.

2004-2018 Continuing education in Reiki, Chi Nei Tsang, Thai massage and Ethics for Massage Therapists.

2021-Forever training in The John F Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach. Courses completed:
